State Representative Ana-Maria Ramos stopped by the 26th Annual NHHA Independence Day Parade and presented a resolution. It states:

 

Whereas, the Northwood Hills Homeowners Association is hosting its 26th Annual Independence Day Parade, and this event offers a welcome occasion to recognize the organization for its civic engagement; and

Whereas, an affiliate of the North Dallas Neighborhood Alliance, NHHA serves to support and represent members of the Northwood Hills community; the association is further committed to preserving and protecting the Northwood Hills neighborhood, and it helps to maintain the local environment by planting flowers, sponsoring group cleanups, and encouraging residents to comply with city regulations; and

Whereas, Led by president Janet Marcum, NHHA is governed by a board of directors consisting of seven members, Mitra Shamsa, Hunter McGrath, Sharon Venable, Cristi Sliter, Heather Catelotti, Kristen Holden, and Dru Landrum; the organization also receives guidance from advisory committee members Judy Switzer and Glynn Newman; and

Whereas, The Northwood Hills Homeowners Association is dedicated to providing its members with a safe and friendly place to live, and the Fourth of July parade is an exciting opportunity for area residents to celebrate their nation’s founding in the company of their neighbors; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the 2019 Northwood Hills Homeowners Association Independence Day Parade be commemorated and that all those attending be extended sincere best wishes for a memorable and enjoyable event.
