IMPORTANT HOMEOWNERS MEETING
MONDAY MARCH 3. 1997
7 PM
NORTHWOOD HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The owners of Holley Tree Apartments have filed with the city planning and zoning commission to rezone the apartments multi-family. March 20 is the date that has been set for the hearing. This is a date that you must put on your calendars. The time is 1:30 in the afternoon. It is most important that all are in attendance.
We need everyone at the meeting on March 3. We will be discussing strategy and funding. The association has been planning for this for 6 years and we all must work and proceed together. Remember, March 3, 7 pm at Northwood Hills Elementary School.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
We now have a chance to make a difference in our area's future. It is important that we all work together and disregard rumors. We all need to be in attendance at the meeting March 3.
I want to thank Peter Marcus and all the volunteers that helped on the membership drive in November. It was successful. We have about 75 new members. We all need to keep working on new memberships.
This is a great neighborhood!!!! Let's keep working together for the betterment of everyone.
Brenda Jones
Our patrol is working hard!! We all need to keep our eyes and ears open and alert!! Our crime is way down and except for a very few incidents we are really doing a good job. The patrol hours are Monday through Sunday 8 -2 p.m. and three days a week rotating 10 - 3.
Please do not put your trash out on the street until the Monday of the week of pick-up. We have so much trash out it makes the area look terrible. The bulky trash pick-up is the week of the first Monday in Areas 1B & 5, and the week of the second Monday in all other areas.

IMPORTANT PUBLIC HEARING!!!!
APRIL 17, 1997
1:30 PM
DALLAS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS CITY HALL
The Homeowners will have buses to take you to the meeting. It will cost Homeowners nothing but your time. The buses will leave from the Fretz Park Parking lot on Meandering Way, south of Belt Line Road at 12:30 pm. Be at the buses by 12:15. We have two buses so please be there in plenty of time. Plenty of parking spaces are available. If you prefer to drive yourself, the public hearing starts at 1:30 pm at the Dallas City Council Chambers in City Hall.
This is a most important hearing before the planning commission to determine if the Holly Tree Apartments will be given multifamily zoning. As all of you know, we have been working for the closing of these apartments since 1990. The owners are not in compliance and since the zoning for this area is light commercial we as a homeowners group feel that the zoning should stand as it is and the apartments should close. In order for this to occur we need all of your help!!!!
Please come and show our strength in numbers.
Our attorney, Michael Jung will present our case before the Planning Commission. The board feels that our case is a strong one but we need to show this by being there in numbers. Please make an effort and join your neighbors in making this neighborhood a great place to live.
This is an important meeting!!!! This will give you a chance to meet the candidates for City Council in districts 11 & 12. As most of you know, our Homeowners area is a split. Half of us are located in district 12 and half in district 11. The boundary line is Hillcrest. East of Hillcrest is district 12, west of Hillcrest is district 11. The candidates are as follows: District 12 -Sandy Grayson, Allan Merritt, Mark Withinghamn. - District 11 - Lois Finkelman, Paul Fielding, Tim McNamara.
We as a Homeowners Group and as individuals need to know our candidates in order to make good decisions. The needs of our neighborhoods and our city rests with these people.
Come and be informed. This is important to all of us!!!!
