Rebel Webster

President / Beautification
Area 2 214-866-0155 Rebel Webster provides strategic communications counsel to clients in the fields of energy, international retail, professional services, healthcare and finance, and works with member-based organizations to strengthen brand recognition, stakeholder engagement and leadership development.

Her work has been honored by the advertising, marketing and public relations industries and recognized in Reputation Management Magazine.

Rebel and husband Michael Webb moved to Northwood Hills in 2005, where her love of plants and the outdoors prompted her to join the NHHA Board, overseeing beautification efforts. She has led the median renovation project since 2007, and served as president for two years.

"I'm really proud of the ways in which we have improved and increased NHHA's communications," she says. "The key to a strong neighborhood association is keeping folks informed and involved in all our issues – from security to beautification to code compliance."

Rebel attended Dallas public and private schools and graduated from SMU. Michael is a legal marketing executive and gourmet cook. They have one delightful daughter, two very spoiled dogs and share a passion for Longhorn football.
Aaron Dyer

Security / Crimewath
Area 1 972-404-0678

Aaron Dyer will fill a critical role with NHHA by working on our important communication tool – the website. A classical pianist, Aaron makes his living in technology as a database and application developer.  He worked for Software Spectrum in Garland, then was COO for a Plano investment firm, and has since worked as a free-lance technology consultant.

Aaron is actually a long-time resident of Northwood Hills, growing up in a house on Mossvine from 1968 – 1978. Aaron and his wife Alice will soon celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.  When they first married they lived on Lovers Lane. Just before their son Nathan was born, they moved to Garland and lived there until August 1995.  They needed a larger house and at the time Alice's sister lived in Northwood Hills (on Oakbluff).  The Dyers found the right place on Overview Circle and have loved their home and Northwood Hills for the past 12 years…going on 13!

Aaron attended sixth grade at Northwood Hills Elementary, then Northwood Junior High (still under construction at the time!), and then was a Richardson Eagle.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees from SMU. Aaron and Alice are members of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Richardson (Belt Line at St. Luke).

“I had a great childhood in Northwood Hills,” says Aaron. “I can’t wait to help the neighborhood.”

David Abell

Membership
Area 3 214-850-5157 During a 20+-year career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), David Abell has held various sales and leadership positions. That experience was key in planning and implementing NHHA's successful online dues payment system.

In 2010, David will direct two important membership projects aimed at improving security: new curb addresses for members and NHHA's research into neighborhood video cameras.

David and his family -- wife Julie, daughter Gracie and loveable Wheaton terrier, Savannah -- moved into the neighborhood in June 2007, relocating from Plano.

Each year they gather extended family for the 4th of July and create a float for the NHHA Independence Day Parade. "The Parade is just a great time for everyone," says David. "It's the signature event of our HOA, and it's one of the things that make Northwood Hills a very special neighborhood."

David graduated from Texas Tech University in 1988 with a BBA in Finance/Real Estate and earned his executive MBA from Baylor University in 2003.
Judy Switzer

Newsletter / Marketing
Area 4 214-801-7273 Judy Switzer and her husband, Bruce, have lived in Northwood Hills since 1990. She is a real estate broker with Keller Williams Realty and a 1978 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a degree in Business Administration.

During four years of service on the NHHA Board, Judy led the re-design of the Northwood Hills Breeze newsletter and increased ad revenue beyond budget projections.

Although she is term-limited on the Board, in 2010 Judy will continue to oversee newsletter advertising and production, and assumes a new role as NHHA's Crime and Security Chair, providing monthly security updates and as-needed crime alerts.

"Security services and crime prevention are the number one priority for our members, and therefore NHHA," she says. "We will continue to explore and evaluate every opportunity to enhance safety in the neighborhood."

Judy and Bruce's kids attended Northwood Hills Elementary. Brett is now in law school at Georgia State University and Jillian is a junior at Fordham University in Bronx, NY.
