My enthusiastic congratulations to all those who contributed to the new Northwood Hills Breeze. It is a great leap forward in professional communication, layout, design, writing and editing, and is sure to lift up our Association in the eyes and minds of residents -- both members and non-members. Please pass along my accolades to the Board and all others who were involved in creating this excellent publication. It should make us all proud!

What a fabulous looking newsletter - we got ours today!! Never seen one so nice. Thanks also for inserting the note regarding our Northwood Hills Greenway - couldn't have said it clearer myself.

NHHA Security Patrol

We are members of the NHHA and wanted to share with you an incident that occurred last evening. I received a phone call from our NHHA Security @ 2AM stating that a fire truck was in front of my house, in case I noticed it. I replied that "no" I was sleeping. He indicated that he had been doing a vacation check on the home directly across the alley and noticed a strong odor of gas coming from our gas meter - so he called the fire department. They in turn came out, agreed with him and suggested that the home owner (me) call Atmos Energy in the morning.

I followed thru w/ the security's advice and Atmos came out and indicated that I had several leaks in my meter and they were going to shut off my gas, install a new gas meter and relight all pilots for me. This was done efficiently and the problem was taken care of. My whole point was I would never have known this if it had not been for NHHA Security going the extra mile to help protect a members' property. Just wanted you to know, and say thanks for all your work in the organization and to our very competent security patrol.

We had a 2 week trip out of town scheduled last month and our regular house/dog sitter got sick and cancelled out the day before. In addition to hurriedly stopping the paper, mail, getting my sister to water some things while we were gone, I contacted our new security group to periodically check on the house. I was very pleased with the service - especially by the number of times my neighbors noticed them in the driveway. I am so glad we re-joined NHHA after the security change was made. Now I just need to remember to order my alley sign!

That's a wonderful tip (that walkers should carry cell phones AND whistles). Please pass along our thanks to the Security Team for this idea and let them know we would appreciate their continued communication.

We have seen this new patrol more in the last two weeks than we have ever seen the Dallas Police in the many years that they have been patrolling our neighborhood. Was surprised to see they are even on bikes. Good job.

When I heard you were on the news, I shuddered to think what kind of hatchet job they were up to, so I'm relieved to hear that you felt it was a positive thing (at least from the NHHA perspective). I have been forced to write checks to HOAs when we lived in Plano and elsewhere, and rarely felt any positive result from it. So I was skeptical when we moved into NH, and it did take me a year to discover the quality of the communication and representation you all provide. I happily write you checks each year and boast about the work you do and encourage others to sign up. I write to tell you all this even though we have moved to London for a couple of years. My sister-in-law lives at our house for the duration, and I made sure they have already joined up. We'll be back! (No, the BBC did not carry the Channel 8 report :-)

We would like to thank you and those that assist you in overseeing the HOA. More often than naught I'm sure it's a thankless job, but we appreciate your efforts in making Northwood Hills a great place to live (even though we've only been here several months). The email communications are great and we definitely think its worth the $240 in dues.

I love your website. Oodles and oodles of info there and verrrrrry user friendly.

I am from a neighboring homeowners association and was just taking a look. I love the Q & A section. That answers a lot of questions that a lot of people have probably wondered about.

Congratulations! The Northwood Hills website is being highlighted in the first of our "spotlight on..." feature. It should run about through the end of September.

Also, the Northwood Hills newsletter is being pointed out in our "Better Neighborhood Newsletters Handbook" of the "How To" section as an example for other neighborhoods. Great work!

I have been researching homeowner's association websites for a week now in preparation for building a site for the association I belong to. Your site is by far the best on the net. I congratulate you on the beauty and functionality of your site! I wished I lived in Addison, TX. (is it near Austin?)...

Don't worry, I won't copy the site but it does inspire me to work harder than the plain ol' on-line newsletter my limited imagination came up with at first.
