16th Annual Independence Day Parade & Celebration
Presented by the Northwood Hills Homeowners Association
Saturday, July 4, 2009

Don't forget to buy your July 4th watermelon -- fresh from the farm! On sale after the Parade at the schoolyard for just $5. ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT OUR MEDIAN BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS. Sponsored by Yellow Rose Landscape Services.


Come one, come all... it's a Northwood Hills tradition!
Join us for an old-fashioned July 4th Celebration and Parade... it's FUN and it's FREE! All activities are at Northwood Hills Elementary school.
  • You must register and get a number if you want to be considered for the judges' prizes! Registration opens at 8 a.m.
     
  • PARADE ASSEMBLES AT 9 a.m. and we step off at 9:30. Click here for route.
     
  • POST-PARADE ACTIVITIES until noon.
     
  • Decorate your bike or trike... fancy-up that wagon or stroller... bring out your vintage or exotic car... or just dress up to walk and wave at your neighbors! Decorated dogs welcome too... on a leash, please.
     
  • Put on all the red, white and blue you can find. Prizes in multiple categories, including Most Patriotic (Individual, Group, Pet and Moving/Motorized), Most Original, Reddest, Bluest, Special Awards
     
  • After the Parade, join us for a Bounce House, Dunk Tank and have your commemorative button made by Billy Buttons. Fun games, too... Hula Hoop contests, races and more!
     
  • Snack on free popcorn and cotton candy or chill out with a snow cone.
     
  • Back by popular demand: the NHHA Watermelon Sale! Buy your Fourth of July Watermelon straight from the farm, fresh, sweet and delicious... just $5 each. All proceeds benefit the renovation of the Northwood Hills medians!
(We could sure use a few helping hands... email to volunteer for a half hour or so)

NO PARKING along Cliffbrook in front of the school. There's plenty of parking on the east side of the school field along Birchridge.

15th Annual Independence Day Parade presented by the Northwood Hills Homeowners Association

Come one, come all - it’s a Northwood Hills tradition now in its 15th year. Join us for an old-fashioned July 4th Celebration and Parade

  • Decorate your bike or trike... fancy-up that wagon or stroller... bring out your vintage or exotic car... or just dress up to walk and wave at your neighbors! Decorated dogs welcome too... on a leash, please.
  • Put on all the red, white and blue you can find OR dress in 1950s style to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Northwood Hills. Parade prizes for

    • Best 1950s Costume
    • Most Patriotic – individual, group, pet and moving/motorized
    • Most Original
    • Reddest
    • Bluest
    • Best Elvis LookAlike

  • After the Parade, join us for a Bounce House, Photo Booth and Dunk Tank... snack on popcorn and cotton candy, chill out with a snow cone or Popsicle.

Schedule:
